President - Roney Pate, Apex Systems
Roney has been committed to Agile since first learning about it in 2004, becoming a certified scrum master in 2005. After coaching and mentoring as a consultant to Capital One in 2005 and 2006, Roney joined Apex Systems Inc where he has continued to apply Scrum principles to the continuous improvement of Business Intelligence. As President, Roney helps the board and Agile Richmond set direction and improvement strategies to continuously inspect, adapt and grow.
Director of Communications - Jay Harter, Genworth Financial
Jay has over 15 years of project management experience in IT and Finance. Jay is continuing to expand his knowledge on the Agile methodology - and how he can apply it to his current and upcoming projects. As Director of Communications, Jay helps to get the word out on events and training opportunities to our members and the media.
Advisor and Past President - Kelly Snavely, Capital One Corporation.
Kelly is a senior project leader and Agile Coach and has been a principal energy source for Capital One's strong embracement of Agile and Lean practices since 2005. As Advisor and Past President, Kelly helps Agile Richmond stay focused and maintain forward momentum to being the best it can be.
Coach and Board Member at Large - Lyssa Adkins, Cricketwing Consulting
Lyssa has been coaching and training other coaches since 2005. She has been Agile Richmond treasure for some time, but now is moving on to the role of Coach. Lyssa's extensive & continuing work in Agile outside the Richmond community gives her a unique ability to help Agile Richmond stay informed on the thought evolution and direction of Agile. Treasurer - Ashish Roy, StaffFocus Consulting
Ashish is a highly experienced Project Management consultant with more than 20 years of experience in IT and Banking Operations areas in the US and abroad. Ashish, who is both PMI and CSM certified, uses his education in Computer Science and Engineering to creatively blend traditional Project Management methodologies with the Agile best practices for his clients. Ashish will assist Lyssa in managing our finances and keeping Agile Richmond on track.
Strategic Partnerships and Outreach - Ryan Shriver, Dominion Digital
Ryan is a Managing Consultant with Dominion Digital www.dominiondigital.com, a regional process and technology consulting company that has firmly embraced Agile for client engagements. A frequent speaker at various conferences on topics including business value and agile engineering, Ryan's commitment to Agile began as early as 2000, through involvement with XP development. Ryan's blog and presentations are available on theagileengineer.com. As Partnerships and outreach lead for Agile Richmond, Ryan engages business and educational leaders in the area seeking both to offer support to the growth of Agile and to engage those organizations to help Agile Richmond grow.
Board Member - Kristen Blake
Kris is a Project Manager turned Scrum Master, and is learning her way into this exciting and collaborative world of Agile one day at a time. Kris provides leadership to Agile Richmond particularly in coodinating and planning our events.
Board Member - Keith Mangum
Keith is a Project Manager and Managing Consultant with Apex Systems. Keith has over 15 years of project management experience and has worked in Agile environments since 2005. As the Board Secretary, Keith keeps the Agile Richmond Board members focused on being champions for Agile practices in the Greater Richmond Area.
